Forget Santa - FEDEX will be the busy one! Over 22 million packages will be shipped out to consumers (on December 2nd, alone). That’s 22 million different transactions made, so far, by consumers this holiday season - the majority of which being made though credit card payments online.

December 2, 2013 will be the busiest day FEDEX has had to date, stated Parry Rosenberg – Vice President of Sales and Marketing at MONEXgroup. “It’s not because Santa is on strike,” chuckles Rosenberg, “it’s because online sale deliveries have increased by 10 per cent in one year - and this trend looks to continue for years to come.”

Small business merchants should prepared for, both in-person and online shopping, to accommodate for the mass holiday shoppers and their shipment demands throughout the holiday season. Capitalize on the influx of spending online throughout the next month and prepare the business as necessary.
