Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) November 19, 2013
Local business and intellectual property law firm Leverage Legal Group Founder and CEO and 2013 Top CEO Honoree Jessica Eaves Mathews was announced as the winner in the Business Services category for the 2013 Top CEOs Awards presented by Albuquerque Business First October 17th at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
Albuquerque Business First honored 22 of the most outstanding New Mexican CEOs during the luncheon. About 400 people attended the event. Award judges named a winner in each of six industry categories, and category winners were unveiled for the first time at the event. The judges also recognized Douglas M. Brown, dean of the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management, with a Career Achievement Award. Brown plans to retire at the end of the spring semester next year.
“A great CEO must recognize and foster the strengths of his or her employees, coach them to accomplish more than they ever thought possible and keep the organization moving forward constantly on all fronts. Without that leadership to guide it, an organization can only go so far,” said Albuquerque Business First Publisher Ian Anderson.
The Top CEOs event honors New Mexico’s most dynamic executives and recognize the contributions and achievements of those who have excelled as leaders in the New Mexico business community. Nominations were accepted from public sources for the state’s best leaders for the Top CEOs Awards. Each nominee was required to hold their company’s top local executive spot and submit an application with information about his or her self for judging. A panel of experienced leaders, several of whom are former Top CEOs honorees, evaluated the honorees on professional achievement, leadership and community involvement.
