PubMatic is growing exponentially and I am excited to be at the helm of its operations in the DACH-region
Munich, Germany (PRWEB) November 04, 2013
PubMatic, the digital media platform company for publishers, today appointed Eric Hall as the new Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
Eric Hall joins PubMatic with over twelve years of industry experience, holding senior management roles at United Internet Media, Tomorrow Focus, Microsoft and the Scout24-Group. Prior to joining PubMatic, Eric was the Head of International Business at United Internet Media (UIM), where he directed the global sales efforts and developed the international business portfolio for UIM as well as representing UIM in the pan-European RTB venture, Ad Europe.
On his appointment, Eric Hall, Country Manager DACH of PubMatic said: “The industry is moving at such a rapid pace; digital media spend continues to outstrip all other media and recently recorded the highest year-on-year growth rate of +15.6%. In Germany, digital ad spend is due to skyrocket to $6.9 billion by 2016 . PubMatic is growing exponentially and I am excited to be at the helm of its operations in the DACH-region. The German market favours companies with a strong commitment to technology innovation and execution quality, and PubMatic has consistently shown world-class ability in both of these areas. The business is poised for rapid growth in 2014 and beyond in these markets.”
Rob Jonas, VP & MD, EMEA & APAC at PubMatic comments: “While Germany is a key digital advertising market, adoption of RTB and Programmatic buying has been modest to date. Eric’s appointment however comes at an inflection point, as many of the largest participants in Germany’s online advertising economy are finalising their strategies and the change in the landscape will be dramatic in the next 24 months.” RTB-based spending in Germany will hit $157 million this year, an 82% increase from 2012 and is forecast to reach $220 million in 2014 .
“During this transition period, Eric’s vast knowledge of the German advertising landscape, combined with his experience as a publisher and media owner, makes him the ideal candidate to lead PubMatic’s continued expansion in Germany.”
Based out of the PubMatic Munich office, Eric will oversee the company’s growth across the German, Austrian and Swiss markets by helping local premium publishers significantly increase advertising revenues through PubMatic’s innovative platform.
