Meeker, chair of the IP/IT Licensing and Transactions group of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is scheduled to speak at the 17th Annual American Conference Institute’s (ACI) Software Agreements - Cloud, SaaS, Open Source & Licensing Forum taking place Monday, Nov. 4 to Nov. 5, 2013 at Hotel Nikki in San Francisco.
Meeker, who also serves as co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Silicon Valley office, will speak on Monday, Nov. 4 at 1:45 p.m. on the topic "Crucial Nuances to Consider When Using Open Source to Create Proprietary Products". According to ACI’s website, the forum will provide up-to-date, practical strategies on how to draft and negotiate terms that will minimize risk as well as maximize rights and profit. The faculty of industry leaders will cover topics of interest including cloud licensing, SaaS, and open source.
Focusing her practice on intellectual property transactions for technology clients, Meeker covers a range of industries including software, communications, educational testing, computer equipment and medical devices. She has wide-ranging experience in open source licensing strategies and in intellectual property matters related to mergers and acquisitions.
