The National Sporting Club are leading providers of sports hospitality and sports banquets. It is proud to have honoured sporting legends since 1891 and is pleased to announce the return of its iconic sporting lunches and dinners at their new home, The Park lane Hotel, Piccadilly, London.

National Sporting Club Announce their 1966 World Cup Winning Team Lunch at The Park Lane Hotel in 2014

To this day the National Sporting Club's dedication and commitment to sport remains as true as ever. Over the last 122 years they have developed a rich tradition of sporting banquets. We are proud to welcome the National Sporting Club to its’ new home.

In 2008 the National Sporting Club closed its doors to their famous sports lunches and sports dinners at the Cafe Royal for its refurbishment but will return to London for its first event on 5th June 2014 with the World Cup Sporting Lunch in honour of England’s 1966 Winning Team to mark the beginning of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Confirmed guests are Sir Geoff Hurst, MBE Martin Peters and OBE Gordon Banks and invitations have gone out to the rest of the 1966 World Cup team which include Bobby and Jack Charlton, Roger Hunt, Nobby Stiles, George Cohen and Ray Wilson.

The sports lunch will honour England’s 4-2 victory in the World Cup Final at Wembley against Germany when Geoff Hurst went down in history for the only player to score three goals in a World Cup Final. There will also be a coterie of other sports stars and personalities, old friends from the past and new friends. Guests will enter into one of the finest ballrooms in London through the luxurious 70-year old Silver Gallery. There they will enjoy a champagne reception, three-course lunch served with fine wines prepared by award winning Chef’s whilst honouring the 1966 World Cup Winning Team.
