Jack and Suzie Hanna at Tranquilo Bay

For a wildlife, rainforest and ocean experience all rolled into one, nothing can match Tranquilo Bay. Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Colombus Zoo, Host of Jack Hanna’s “Into the Wild” & “Wild Countdown”

Isla Bastimentos, Bocas del Toro, Panama (PRWEB) November 08, 2013

Tranquilo Bay hosted Jack, Suzie and Julie Hanna last spring while they were in Panama filming for Jack Hanna’s" Into the Wild." The episode featuring Tranquilo Bay airs this week.

Jack who is Director Emeritus of the Colombus Zoo, Host of both Jack Hanna’s “Into the Wild” & “Wild Countdown” had this to say about his stay at Tranquilo Bay:

"A 3-toed sloth baby clinging to its mother, a troop of Capuchin monkeys, a hummingbird in its nest, green iguanas, brilliantly colored ‘mini’ frogs, and even upside-down jellyfish — we saw it all at Tranquilo Bay! For a wildlife, rainforest and ocean experience all rolled into one, nothing can match Tranquilo Bay. The whole staff, including expert guides, will insure that you have the best time while enjoying a beautiful tropical environment and delicious food!"

They do things a bit differently than many production companies in that they have people travel with Jack and the crew while they are filming. They had a small group of participants and Jack’s crew making the rounds in Panama with them.

Jack, his crew and a different daughter visited Panama many years ago to shoot an episode on the Panama Canal and the Canopy Tower. This year’s trip to Panama yielded five different episodes. Two of the episodes focus on specific areas within Panama: Bocas del Toro and El Valle; two episodes focus on bats and frogs and the last episode hit the highlights of the areas visited by the group.

The trip was orchestrated by Win Rice at Panama Jones. Win worked with Judy Tovar at Easy Travel Panama for all ground transportation. The group stayed at both Tranquilo Bay and Playa Tortuga during their tenure in Bocas del Toro. The crew spent time on Isla Colon, Isla Bastimentos and at Oreba Chocolate on the mainland checking out different adventures available within the province.

Each episode of Into the Wild will air as set forth below. Catch the exact air times on Jack’s Website for a local channel. The show usually airs on the weekend of the week in which it is scheduled. For instance, in Houston, Texas the show will air at 8:00 am on Saturday morning on KUBE.
