Pondera Solutions, a products and services firm focused on implementing Google analytics for government agencies nationwide, has launched a new website at http://www.ponderasolutions.com. The new site provides downloads and videos that document the firm’s proprietary detection engine FDaaS (Fraud Detection as a Service)—a high-tech weapon in fighting fraud, waste and abuse in government funded programs. The new website also highlights Pondera’s strategic partnerships as well as providing background on its executive team.
In 2011, 41% of Americans were enrolled in one or more government assistance programs. A U.S Government Accountability Office (GAO) report in 2012 estimated that many large government programs ‘improperly’ distribute up to 10% of their funds. According to the Federal Government, this represents over $100 billion annually in funds distributed to "bad actors" who are defrauding local, state and federal governments.
FDaaS is a tool that streamlines the process to root out fraud by providing a 360 degree view of program transactions, analyzing the identity of the person applying for benefits, the device used to apply for the benefits (if processed online) and the claim itself. FDaaS combines this analysis into a confidence score which is provided to government agencies to easily identify the likelihood of fraud.
“We began offering our services in November of 2011 and have been focused in on winning bids and servicing important fraud detection efforts in numerous states, including California, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Alabama and Iowa. We have now turned our attention to improving our web presence so that we can better explain the added value we bring to government in fighting fraud, waste and abuse,” said Jon Coss, Chief Executive Officer of Pondera Solutions.
