Street Toyota, located at 4500 S. Soncy in Amarillo, Texas, is collecting canned food to benefit High Plains Food Bank in Amarillo. The team at Street Toyota invites community members to drop off donations to one of their collection bins at the store until Saturday, November 30, 2013.
Street Toyota is proud to collaborate with High Plains Food Bank for the third year in a row. With the help of generous community members, Street Toyota collected 450 pounds of food last year and hopes to be able to donate even more food from this year’s food drive. According to High Plains Food Bank’s website, the organization exists to alleviate hunger in the Panhandle and the team at Street Toyota is excited to help support this cause. Mike Good, General Manager at Street Toyota-Scion, commented on the significance of Street Toyota’s food drive, “Community service is one of the most important things we can do as a company to help out our community. We continue to do this canned food drive each year because we know the people who benefit from it appreciate it, especially during the season of giving.” The food drive is just one of the many ways Street Toyota continually works to better the community they call home.
