Mid Atlantic BX (MABX), a trade association dedicated to connecting the construction industry, announced today that it has launched a new Workers Compensation Insurance Program to meet the needs of its members. The program offers competitive pricing, stable yearly rates, and superior claims handling, and while in existence for fifteen years, it is newly available to the architecture, engineering, and construction industries in the mid-Atlantic region served by MABX.

"With the market for workers' compensation insurance projected to harden significantly in the very near future, we decided to take a proactive approach to assist our members," Chad C. Harvey, MABX executive director said. "The construction marketplace is quite competitive and any increase in rates has a very real impact on our members' profitability. We've partnered with expert industry veterans to bring this exclusive program to market and are excited to once again be providing a solution to a very real need within the AEC industry."

The MABX Workers' Compensation Program offers unique benefits such as parallel pay, stable yearly rates, competitive pricing, pay as you go billing and superior claims handling. It is available to MABX members that have: been in business for a minimum of three years; a commitment to safety, implemented a physician panel; provide modified duty for injured employees; and at least one full-time employee earning $20,000 annually.

Harvey went on to say “One of the reasons that we selected this program to serve our members was its commitment to superior claims handling.” This is accomplished through partner Eastern Alliance who specializes in serving the construction industry. Their claim management staff has worked hard to reduce their average claim cost to 47% less than the industry average and place employees back on the job 23% faster than the average. This is due, in part, to the fact that the program's claim adjustors handle about 50% fewer claims than the industry average and are trained to stay on top of each claim.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Mid Atlantic BX is a trade association dedicated to connecting the construction industry. With its products and service offerings, MABX supports the business development efforts of its members and promotes the growth of the construction industry. MABX provides real-time, online access to thousands of regional new construction projects annually, along with project blueprints, specs, addenda, bid lists and other pertinent bidding documents.

From online, industry-specific services to the Construction Buyers Guide, Construx magazine, industry-specific training seminars and networking events, MABX connects the construction industry from project concept through completion.
