Showcase has appointed David Linstrom as Chief Executive Officer effective September 1, 2013. The appointment of Mr. Linstrom signals a focus on product innovation and customer engagement to drive user experience and enhance business solutions for one of New Zealand’s leading mobile app developers.
Linstrom said, "It’s great to lead Showcase, one of the most promising solutions for the burgeoning field of smart device based marketing, sales and communication. I look forward to working with Showcase’s valued staff and business partners to remain at the forefront of this extremely competitive space, and focused on our customers’ evolving needs."
Linstrom brings 20 years of experience in technology and business leadership. He has put his Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing (Hons) & Finance) from Otago University to good use throughout his career, working in and leading small, medium and large organisations. Linstrom is well placed to understand the demands and opportunities that executives and management face in the mobile world.
“We are sharing information and rich content, like no time ever before in business,” said Linstrom. “With smart devices and apps already outselling laptops and power-point slides, the need to brand, manage and share information is more critical than it has ever been.”
Showcase VP of Marketing Adam Blackwell said, "David brings an impressive track record in technology, operational management and leadership. I look forward to working with him to enhance Showcase's product offerings for our growing customer base."
"After leading in larger organizations, I love being at the startup level," Linstrom said. “It has given me more time to engage with my staff and customers. To deliver the solutions our customers deserve, we need to continue building this business. We now have a clear business strategy, a new leadership team, and a shared passion for helping our customers succeed in the mobile age.”
