Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) November 20, 2013

At this week’s WEDI Fall Conference, nationally recognized health IT expert John Kelly from Edifecs, Inc., will moderate a panel discussing how to reduce the $200 billion in administrative waste plaguing the U.S. healthcare system every year. The panel discussion will highlight findings from the U.S. Healthcare Efficiency Index™, which measures the transition from paper- and phone-based administrative transactions to an electronic-based healthcare system.

With spiraling healthcare costs, greater focus on administrative inefficiencies, and tighter regulations due to the Affordable Care Act and other mandates, healthcare and IT professionals across the industry are looking for optimal ways to streamline administrative processes through technology and automation. Kelly will provide an overview of administrative simplification, the benefits of value alignment across the healthcare industry and the potential $200 billion waiting to be saved from eliminating administrative inefficiencies. The panel will then discuss in-depth the U.S. Healthcare Efficiency Index and the progress the industry has made to date in the adoption of electronic transactions.

WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 from 10:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. EST

WHAT: A panel discussion titled, “Measuring Process and Cost Savings in the Adoption of Electronic Administrative Transactions.”
