DES MOINES, Wash. (PRWEB) July 26, 2019
Wesley Homes and Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) announce plans for Wesley at Tehaleh, a 401,000 square-foot senior living campus coming to the Tehaleh community in Bonney Lake, WA.
Designed by Cuningham Group Architecture and constructed by Ryan Companies, Wesley at Tehaleh will be located on 16.82 acres of land surrounded by a trail system with tree-lined walking and biking paths connecting the site to the larger Tehaleh development. With plans to break ground in September, the new community will include two buildings: The Lodge and The Brownstone. The Lodge will feature 136 independent living apartments, 42 catered living apartments and 18 memory care suites. The Brownstone will offer an additional 32 independent living apartments. The project is being financed by Hamlin Capital Management.
“With the increasing number of families living at Tehaleh, there is a strong need for the housing and care services that we and Wesley provide,” said Jon Fletcher, Vice President, Senior Housing Partners (SHP), the development arm of PHS. “Our shared ministry with Wesley is an opportunity for both organizations to expand our mission of service to others.”
The collaboration between Wesley Homes and PHS was formed based on aligned values and goals, with a focus on creating an atmosphere for seniors to thrive in a modern community and among nature. Wesley began collaborating with PHS in 2005, when SHP developed the Wesley Lea Hill community in Auburn, WA. Additional projects followed in subsequent years, most recently the repositioning of Wesley’s community in Des Moines, WA, and the construction of Wesley Bradley Park in Puyallup, WA.
“Wesley is excited to join its long time development partner, PHS, in bringing an innovative new community to the vibrant Tehaleh neighborhood,” said Kevin Anderson, President and CEO, Wesley Homes. “Tehaleh is a perfect location for the abundant amenities and larger apartments found in our Wesley communities.”
The community will feature a timeless Pacific Northwest modern style with a thoughtfully-landscaped environment. The building design features a bistro, dining options, a chapel, wellness center, fitness room, theatre, craft room, library, club room, patio, Pickleball court and a pond. Among the many amenities available, residents will enjoy views of Mount Rainier, access to numerous trails and a 24,000 square-foot town center within the community.
