Database Trends and Applications has announced its inaugural list of trend-setting products in data management and analysis. The list, “DBTA Trend-Setting Products in Data for 2014,” salutes the products setting the stage for what has been called the “data revolution.” The products on the list were selected based on their uniqueness and importance to the field. All in all, 91 products are highlighted in the special December edition of Database Trends and Applications magazine and on the DBTA.com website.
“Certainly, the past several years have seen an explosion in interest in ‘big data.’ With that rapid growth, a variety of products have emerged, both from established companies and new startups. It has become very difficult to sift through all of the hype and identify products that actually produce in real-world data environments.
