Click Play Die Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign to produce Heroes of Ismia, a unique adventure board game that combines fighting monsters, gathering materials, and adventure quests, on Kickstarter. After over three years of designing and play testing, Heroes of Ismia is ready for production. The new customizable resource management RPG board game is designed for 2-4 players, who each take on the role of a Hero, vying to be the first to save the city of Ismia from destruction. Heroes of Ismia is unique because not only is it a resource management game, in which players must carefully watch how many materials they have and make strategic decisions on how to deploy them, but also a classic role-playing game where players take on races and classes and complete small tasks, or quests, to gain power.

“We have spent over three years making Heroes of Ismia as great as we can,” said Reed Raymond, lead game designer. “Now we need help to bring the game to a manufacturer. That is why we started this Kickstarter campaign.”
Integral to Heroes of Ismia is its high replay-ability with almost endless customization options. This is achieved through 16 different character combinations of races and classes combined with specific power cards that define a variety of abilities. These power cards, as well as the different race augmentations ensure that players have an entirely different character and playing experience in every game.
Heroes of Ismia is an exciting mash up of classic RPG elements interspersed with fresh and unique game mechanics. Internet entrepreneur and web show host Kevin Rose described Heroes of Ismia as “frickin’ awesome. It’s good. It’s really good,” on The Random Show with Tim Ferriss.
The game is ideal for those players that are new to the RPG genre, since test players picked up the play quickly and have found the game to be exciting and immersive.
The Heroes of Ismia Kickstarter project can be supported through January 1st.
