Holland & Hart LLP represented QEP Energy Company, a subsidiary of QEP Resources, Inc., in connection with their agreement to acquire oil and gas properties in the Permian Basin in west Texas for $950 million from EnerVest, Ltd. and its affiliates.
The transaction is expected to close in January 2014. The Holland & Hart team representing QEP in the transaction was led by oil and gas transactions partner Jan Harris, who was assisted by partners John Maxfield (tax), Lucy Stark (corporate) and Elizabeth Mitchell (environmental). QEP Resources General Counsel Chris Woosley and Senior Attorney Heidi Hande completed the legal team.
EnerVest was represented by Vinson & Elkins, and a team consisting of partner Joe Dilg, and associates Mindga Zhao, Paul Seifert and Shannyn Piper, and EnerVest General Counsel Fabené Welch.
