Despite going up against some of the most popular new cars available, the new sporty-yet-practical Ford Fiesta ST was named as TopGear magazine’s Car of the Year 2013.
The new Ford model was also awarded the crown for the best Hot Hatch of the Year 2013, with all winners due to appear in the January 2014 edition of TopGear magazine.
The new Fiesta ST received hugely positive remarks from the judges with its “driveability, practicality and favourable price tag” being some of the stand-out comments.
The Fiesta ST, which is now also available to would-be car buyers as a used Ford model, was described by TopGear as “the most enjoyable car” of the year and a car that “puts a smile on your face each and every day.”
Despite TopGear being well known for its outrageous stunts, road trips and performance car reviews, it didn't hold them back when it came to praising the Fiesta ST - they said that it “invigorates, excites and rekindles some of the love you thought you’d lost” when it comes to driving less expensive new and used cars.
Car Loan 4U Director Ryan Dignan, comments:
“Most car lovers will know that the BBC TopGear television series mainly focuses on the 'fast and the furious' of new and used cars available.
“Yet this time out it is different, as the new Ford Fiesta ST has struck gold at the TopGear awards.
"It's great when we get to see a normal car, the underdog in this case, winning. It honestly shows that you don't have to pay out hundreds of thousands of pounds to own a car that puts a smile on your face when you could simply buy a used Ford Fiesta ST.”
