The International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), the premier international, networking and professional growth organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industry, announced Patricia (“Trish”) A. Redmond as its 2013 Woman of the Year in Restructuring (WOYR) award winner. Ms. Redmond is a Shareholder in the Business Restructuring department of Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. where she practices insolvency and restructuring law.

Ms. Redmond, a leader in her field and dedicated IWIRC member, has tirelessly contributed to the advancement of women in the restructuring and insolvency professions as a mentor, frequent speaker, published author, and go-to media source. A committed IWIRC member, she is dedicated to the growth and expansion of the organization having served as the Florida Network Chair from 2001-2008 and in other capacities on the International Board from 2001-2010, including Director of Networks and Director of Development.

In its seventh year, the WOYR award was conceived to honor women in the restructuring and insolvency industry who have inspired and skillfully led a restructuring team, provided creative solutions and innovative legal applications, shows exceptional leadership, and has made an extraordinary contribution to her field.
IWIRC presented Ms. Redmond the award December 6, 2013, during a special luncheon at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Winter Leadership Conference in Ranchos Palos Verde, California.
