“People who tour our manufacturing facility are often amazed by how much takes place behind the scenes to develop our garments,” says Michael Leonard, product development manager for North America. “We are excited to show America the steps taken to create our products which, not only look fashionable, but also, offer health benefits.”

Socks and hosiery that feature graduated compression are designed to be tightest at the ankle and decrease in pressure going up the legs. Graduated Compression garments help improve circulation and revive tire, achy legs. They also help with the treatment and prevention of varicose veins. SIGVARIS offers three categories of products: SIGVARIS MEDICAL, SIGVARIS WELL BEING and SIGVARIS SPORTS.

SIGVARIS believes in creating quality products and each product begins in research and development where product ideas are created and the finest yarns are selected. Next, test products are knitted, and the products are worn by a panel of wear testers to check for a proper fit. Finally, the final version of the products are knitted, dyed and tested to ensure that the compression levels are accurate as stated on the product packaging.

The majority of the garments sold in the United States and Canada are manufactured at the facility in Peachtree City, Ga. SIGVARIS is a global leader in the compression industry and has been manufacturing compression garments for more than 60 years.
