We’re a visual safety communication company, creating signs and labels that help people make the best decisions possible when faced with potentially dangerous situations that could place them in harm’s way. I love my work with Clarion. It’s a joy for me.
Milford, PA (PRWEB) December 19, 2013
Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety signs and labels, announces that its president and chief operating officer, Deb Patterson, has been featured in an interview with a local television series, WVIA Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal, which highlights remarkable regional business leaders.
The interview premiered in the beginning of December 2013 on WVIA TV, a PBS member station serving twenty counties in Northeast and North Central Pennsylvania. The program is a joint venture between WVIA and Times-Shamrock Communications, publishers of the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal.
Currently in its sixth season, WVIA Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal focuses not only on the accomplishments of local executives, but on their character and the personal attributes that shaped their career paths. Interviewees are nominated and selected based on four main criteria: entrepreneurship, philanthropy, stewardship and mentorship. The goal is to share inspiring, behind-the-scenes stories with local Pennsylvania audiences.
“There are remarkable business men and women here in Northeast and North Central Pennsylvania. These are stories of hard work, sacrifice and success, told by people and families who started or built successful companies that improve our communities, employ our neighbors and are living examples for future generations,” according to statements about the show on WVIA.org.
In the interview, Patterson discusses her role at Clarion – headquartered in Milford, PA – and her work during her past year with the company to advance its safety solutions and services that help clients around the world to make products and premises safer.
“We’re a visual safety communication company, creating signs and labels that help people to make the best decisions possible when faced with potentially dangerous situations that could place them in harm’s way,” Patterson said.
When Patterson joined Clarion in October 2012, she brought over 20 years of leadership experience to the company, having held positions at Deloitte Consulting, Honeywell, Sun Chemical, Andersen Consulting, and Ford Motor Company, alongside credentials from Georgia Institute of Technology and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
“For me, it’s about getting up every day and doing what’s put in front of you. It’s doing the very best job that you can, and recognizing the areas for continued learning and growth. It’s taking each experience and figuring out how that is going to influence and craft the next step in your career,” Patterson said, in response to a question on how she had come to accomplish so much in her career to date. “I love what I do right now. I love my work with Clarion. It’s a joy for me.”
The interview is available on-demand through the WVIA website, and will premiere by radio early next year, airing on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. on WVIA-FM.
