Pigeon Forge, TN (PRWEB) December 18, 2013
On December 16, Cabin Fever Vacations, a leading source for Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg cabin rentals, announced the top three Smoky Mountain Hiking Trails for families with young children. The list was created to help parents with young children and babies choose trails that their children can enjoy with them.
“There’s no such thing as being too young to enjoy the Smoky Mountains,” said a spokesperson for Cabin Fever Vacations. “These hiking trails are perfect for families of all ages to enjoy without tiring out.”
Topping the list is Laurel Falls, one of the only paved Smoky Mountain hiking trails. Totalling 2.5 miles round trip, this is the ideal path for strollers because there are no mud puddles or ruts.
The Gatlinburg Trail is second on the list as it combines education and adventure. At 1.9 miles, this trail is directly behind the Sugarlands Visitor Center where families can rest and watch a short documentary on the history of the National Park.
For a shorter Smoky Mountain hiking trail, the Noah “Bud” Ogle Trail is three-quarters of a mile. This path has a historic home and barn on site to expand the experience. Families often stop at the mountain stream to rest and splash during the warmer months.
After an exciting day of hiking, Cabin Fever Vacations invites families to rest and relax in one of their Gatlinburg cabins. Filled with amenities and located near the Smoky Mountains National Park, these cabins are spectacular mountain retreats.
