Cypress Equities Acquires Smyrna Retail Center

Cypress Equities announced today the acquisition of Colonial TownPark in Smyrna, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville.

Cypress Equities announced today the acquisition of Colonial TownPark in Smyrna, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville. This transaction was acquired by a fund managed by Cypress’ real estate investment management group, which has acquired retail properties valuing more than $350 million in 2013.

Located on the northeast corner of Interstate 24 and Industrial Blvd, Colonial TownPark encompasses 450,000 square feet of retail space. The regional power center opened in 2008 and presently houses more than 25 retailers. The shopping center features well-known brand names including Petsmart, Ross Dress for Less, Staples, Target Super Center and Kohl’s.

“Colonial TownPark is a strong addition to our portfolio of retail properties,” states Todd Minnis, managing partner and CIO of the real estate investment management division of Cypress Equities, which oversaw the transaction. “The property occupies an unparalleled location in the trade area with a lineup of some of the best retailers in the country.”
