Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) December 20, 2013
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Women’s Committee hosted its 48th annual Holiday Boutique at the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA to support patient care, research, and education at the Hospital. More than 700 people attended the Boutique, which included 25 vendors from around the country selling their finest merchandise. Twenty-five percent of vendor sales and other event proceeds benefitted CHOP, raising $340,000 to support patient care, research and education at CHOP through the Women’s Committee grants.
Hosted by the Women’s Committee of CHOP and chaired by Katharine D. Joyce and Bethanie S. Simon, the Boutique offered clothing and accessories, handmade jewelry, craftwork, vintage items, antiques, and more. Trion was the presenting sponsor of the Holiday Boutique.
“We are so grateful for the long-standing support of the Women’s Committee,” said Stuart Sullivan, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at CHOP. “The success of the Holiday Boutique is a true testament to the Committee’s dedication to supporting CHOP.”
Since 1965, the Holiday Boutique has been a signature fundraising event for the Women’s Committee of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, whose president is Mary Blair Denious. Each year, the Committee donates proceeds to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
