Safety Training Seminars is Proud to Announce the Opening of an American Heart Association BLS, CPR, & First-aid Certification Training School in Vallejo, Solano County
Vallejo, CA (PRWEB) January 07, 2014 -- Safety Training Seminars is proud to announce the opening of an American Heart Association CPR and first-aid training school called Vallejo CPR Classes. STS is an official AHA training center with the license number CA20784 and the license for teaching EMSA certified classes for childcare providers is 0204DC. CPR and First-aid classes have been provided to the public since 1989 in the San Francisco Bay Area, and now STS is looking forward to training students in the Vallejo and Solano areas.
There are a few different levels of CPR training that the residents of Solano county must be aware of before registering for an American Heart Association training course. The course that is needed depends on the job or profession.
Medical and healthcare professionals are required to take the Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider CPR training. This includes the following professions: doctors, nurses, lifeguards, physical therapists, nursing students, EMTs, or anyone in the healthcare field. This course covers CPR for all the age groups, 2 person CPR, how to use a defibrillator, pocket mask, and a bag valve mask. After completing this course, students will receive the AHA BLS certification card that is valid for two years. Over the years, this course has gone by many different names such as BCLS, CPR-C level, but now the course is simply called BLS.
Childcare providers in Solano County are required by law to have a current Pediatric CPR and First-aid card, which is valid for 2 years. After two years, the provider must renew their certification card by taking the 8 hour course again. Per state law, online CPR and First-aid classes are not accepted, and the training must be 8 hours long. The Child Care Division of EMSA has issued a warning about fraudulent trainings in the Bay Area, so be careful when choosing a company. Vallejo CPR Classes issues the official EMSA approved Pediatric certification card on the day of the class.
Heartsaver CPR and First-aid is a 5 hour course designed by the American Heart Association that covers infant, child, adult CPR skills, how to save a victim who is choking, defibrillator use, and how to respond to first-aid emergencies such as bleeding, burns, broken bones, allergic reactions, poisoning, and much more. This course is appropriate for coaches, teachers, nannies, babysitters (over 10 years old), social workers, and the general public.
Vallejo CPR Classes is able to teach any of the American Heart Association training courses directly on location at a school, office, or home. There is a minimum of 14 students needed for us to send out an AHA instructor to conduct the class. For smaller groups or individuals, there are offices located in Concord, Novato, San Francisco, and throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento.
