Finding the right durable label material to identify and track parts for your automotive "under the hood" assembly application can be a challenging process. Polyonics has designed two polyester label materials that will adhere to smooth or textured LSE plastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene or TPO. These plastic parts are commonly found in under the hood parts manufacturing for the automotive industry.
This harsh environment exposes labels to high temperature, abrasion and chemical attack that can cause labels to yellow, shrink or fall off completely. The risk of losing the ID or tracking label in process could result in thousands of dollars in rework expense to the manufacturer.
The XF-455 is an opaque, 2 mil gloss white polyester film coated with a 1 mil low surface energy acrylic adhesive designed for flexographic and thermal transfer printing. This material is designed to adhere to smooth plastics and resist harsh environments.
The XF-456 is an opaque, 4 mil gloss white polyester film coated with a 3 mil low surface energy acrylic adhesive designed for flexographic and thermal transfer printing. The low surface energy adhesive on this product is specifically designed to adhere to extremely rough surfaces and highly textured plastics
