In response to the need for more practical information surrounding gun use and gun safety, has recently created a new blog section for its website, The blog will differ from the website’s recently launched discussion forum in a variety of ways. While the forum was designed to provide an area for people to express opinions and discuss the various issues surrounding gun laws, and gun use, the recently established blog function of the site is better utilized for sharing practical advice, how-to information, and hands-on tips. At a time when gun awareness and gun safety are at the forefront of many people’s minds, the blog provides concrete information for consumers who share an interest in the shooting sports and hunting.

The first organized competitions in the nation were held in 1872, and sponsored by the newly formed, National Rifle Association, which was created over concerns of poor marksmanship during the American Civil War.
