Franciscan Community Benefit Services Selected for Chicago Auto Show’s First Look for Charity

Tickets still available for annual event with proceeds going to Franciscan Community Benefit Services.

Franciscan Community Benefit Services is one of 18 charities chosen by the Chicago Auto Trade Association to benefit from First Look for Charity – a black tie, sneak preview of the Chicago Auto Show.

It is scheduled for Friday, February 8 at McCormick Place, King Drive at 23rd Street, in Chicago. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with an array of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the Franciscan Community Benefit Services hospitality suite.

Tickets are $250 and are tax deductible.

Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, Franciscan Community Benefit Services includes St. Jude House, a shelter in Crown Point, Ind. for women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence, and Madonna Foundation, a program that increases access to Catholic High School for young urban women on Chicago’s north side who are experiencing economic difficulties.

First Look for Charity stands as one of Chicago’s largest single-day events. In 21 years, it has raised more than $34 million for area philanthropies. For each ticket purchased for Franciscan Community Benefit Services over $200 goes directly to advance its ministries.

First Look for Charity offers participants a private showing of more than 1,000 new and debut vehicles prior to the public opening of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show the following day. Two attendees will win a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe or a 2013 Buick Encore
