Following the resounding success of Merrin & Gussy’s Valentines Day photo shoot with its zany B grade movie theme, Merrin & Gussy proves that customers love the outsider creativity of this rising online brand.

The girls being fed up with their boring Valentine's Day gifts bump off their boyfriends

So the result according to Ben Galbraith creative director at Merrin & Gussy is "Valentine's Day unyucked." Fed up with the syrupy and dumb takes on Valentine's Day the creative maestros at Merrin & Gussy decided a photo shoot sub titled ‘what day is Valentine's Day anyway and let’s have some fun with this till we find out’ was just the project needed to promote their jewellery.

Humour might be in short supply, and the marketing gurus speak with grey furrowed brows but not at Merrin & Gussy. Merrin & Gussy’s youthful creative partners are keeping true to the indie spirit that launched Merrin & Gussy jewellery online. With a selection of retro frocks, good creative friends and a giant selection of Merrin & Gussy jewellery, such as multi strands of pearls, multiple gold bracelets and antique big coloured stone rings the photo shoot was an improvised session loosely based around the idea of the girls being fed up with their boring Valentine's Day beau. In the storyboard for the photo shoot the girls bump off their boyfriends, photographically speaking, because they did not come up with a creative gift for the girls! The plot thickens and the body count mounts up as the girls wield the axe of displeasure. Retro girls in frocks hold the power and wear the jewellery.

In just a short time Merrin & Gussy have developed a cult following around the world. Friends and customers, who follow the looks, enjoy the new creativity and buy Merrin & Gussy jewellery online, await the next instalment of jewellery and ideas from the groundbreaking team.

Merrin & Gussy is an Australian online jewellery company with Ben Galbraith and Patrick Galbraith at the helm. The brothers wanted to work with jewellery but only if they could be creative and show how real people wear and have fun with their jewellery. The two maestros also break the rules and bring joy and humour to the relatively stodgy world of jewellery. And so Merrin & Gussy was created to merge all styles of jewellery. Nothing is out of bounds or off limits to this creative team.
