As factory managers become more and more focused on sustainability metrics, special programs need to be developed to automate data collection and convert vast amounts of raw data into actionable information. A plant manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of a manufacturing plant. “Surprisingly most factories get one gas bill, one electric bill and one water bill for the entire facility. In general factory managers do not have hard data on how costs are incurred by department and without hard data you can’t professionally manage a process,” commented Mark Sekerak, Engineering Manger for Profit Finders.
