Leslie S. Robinson, of Greenville, North Carolina has been appointed to the Board of Governors for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice for 2012-2013. Mr. Robinson has also been elected as the Criminal Defense Section Chair.
For the Past 50 years, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice has protected the individual rights of North Carolina’s citizens. The NCAJ wants to recognize those members who have shown their commitment to serving the NCAJ and its mission and who have given their time and talent generously to the organization. The NCAJ recognizes its committed service members by inducting them into the “Order of Service.” Mr. Leslie Robinson of the Robinson Law Firm has been humbled by his inclusion on this prestigious list.
The NCAJ presents what is called the Order of Service Award to those members who have given their time and their talent generously to the NCAJ by serving in a minimum of two areas. Such areas may include any of the following: writing an amicus brief, writing manuscripts, speaking at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars, actively serving on the committees, writing articles for Trial Briefs, writing for NCAJ publications, chairing educational programs, chairing either sections or divisions, and other valuable contributions to the organization.
The goal of the Order of Service Awards is to let those generous members know that because of how much time they give to the organization, the NCAJ notices and greatly appreciates them and wants to give their thanks!
The North Carolina Advocates for Justice is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to protecting peoples’ rights through legal education on a professional and community level, by advocating for individual rights, and by protecting the safety of North Carolina families at home, in the workplace, and in the outside world. Leslie Robinson practices criminal defense in Greenville, North Carolina. As a Greenville native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from East Carolina University in 1983. From there he went on to earn his juris doctorate from Campbell University School of Law in 1986. Upon graduating law school Mr. Robinson opened his private criminal defense law practice in the summer of 1986. Since opening his practice, he has tried over 2,500 bench and jury trials, and has successfully represented clients in the trial and appellate courts in matters involving DWI, drug crimes, sex crimes, hate crimes, violent crimes, white collar crimes, domestic violence and much more.
