“Our goal is to bring each boating destination to life through well-crafted articles and stunning photography that make the reader want to jump in his or her boat and visit these places,” says New England Boating Editor Tom Richardson.

Lighthouse Publications and Lighthouse Media Solutions announces the launch of New England Boating Magazine, a new bi-annual, high-end, 4-color, glossy magazine focused on New England boating destinations, lifestyle and culture. Publication of the premier issue will be mid-February 2013.

New England Boating focuses primarily on the region’s many beautiful and exciting places to visit by water. Each article features an overview of a particular port, lake or river, as well as important information boaters need to know about the area, including: marina listings, anchorages, launch ramp locations, mooring availability, harbormaster contacts; and where to find fuel and other services. Also included are suggestions on local dining options, accommodations, shopping, historic sites, fishing and other fun, interesting things to see and do in port. Readers seeking additional information on a particular destination can do so via QR codes linking them to BoatingLocal.com, New England’s premier online source of boating news, videos, and cruising and fishing information.

“Our goal is to bring each boating destination to life through well-crafted articles and stunning photography that make the reader want to jump in his or her boat and visit these places,” says New England Boating Editor Tom Richardson, a former editor at Offshore and Salt Water Sportsman magazines and host of BoatingLocal.com. “The region’s boaters deserve a magazine that celebrates and understands the unique culture of boating in New England, and we aim to deliver.”

“We are thrilled about this new launch, which will become a significant part of our stable of high-end, quality magazines focused on important niches within the New England community,” said Lighthouse President and CEO Rusty Piersons, adding; “In fact, the response to our first issue of New England Boating has been so positive, I’m excited to announce that, moving forward, we’re adding a second issue of New England Boating with the second edition hitting newsstands in early September of 2013. Piersons went on to say; “From Southern New England Weddings, Living, and Southern New England Home to Home Remodeling and Golf & Leisure Cape Cod, our magazines celebrate a way of life in New England. Aside from our expertise in producing quality consumer publications, we can also deliver to advertisers multi-media capabilities, including TV and video production, website development, email and social media marketing, web marketing and market expertise to companies that wish to excel in these specific arenas.”

New England Boating will be distributed to a select audience of 35,000 readers via newsstand, boat shows, advertiser locations and direct mail to include advertisers’ clients and potential clients. The magazine will also be available for consumer-direct purchase via the Lighthouse Publications website and BoatingLocal.com.
