Poolman, with over 70 fleet vehicles across the Southwest, will be implementing Teletrac’s Safety Analytics software within its driving program to incentivize employees to practice safe habits on the road.

Aligning incentives and celebrating opportunities that are good for businesses is a winning move.

Teletrac Inc.®, a 24-year veteran award-winning GPS fleet tracking and telematics software provider has partnered with Poolman Inc., a pool servicing company, to roll out a new driver program that rewards employees with the best safety scores each month.

Poolman, with over 70 fleet vehicles across the Southwest, will be implementing Teletrac’s Safety Analytics software within its driving program to incentivize employees to practice safety habits on the road.

Teletrac’s Safety Analytics software take corrective actions to minimize safety risks, excess fuel waste and vehicle depreciation within their fleets. Fleet managers have the ability to proactively monitor driver behavior in conjunction with their company’s own safety training and risk management policies.

“We determine the [company’s] safest driver using Teletrac's safety analytics scores,” said Fred Wagner, President, Poolman. “Each month, the safest driver will receive a $100 check. That will hopefully entice more people to drive safer and smarter on the road.”
Teletrac’s software assigns a comprehensive safety score to each fleet driver based on metrics extracted from analyzed miles— including harsh braking, speeding, cornering and stop sign violations. This score allows fleet managers to manage and monitor safety practices while allowing the unprecedented ability for corrective coaching.
Wagner noted, ”Drivers hate seeing accusations about not doing their job when they were. We let drivers know that the software protects them if they're doing their job.”

Safety analytics is an integral component to Teletrac’s Fleet Director intelligence platform, which utilizes tracking data to help reduce company costs and promote safety, compliance and productivity.

“I love measurement as a determination of a company’s path to success,” said Michael Jarvinen, Vice President of Marketing, Teletrac. “Aligning incentives and celebrating opportunities that are good for businesses is a winning move.”
