Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) February 03, 2013
Gabriel Cheong, Esq. is excited to open his second law firm, this time in Cambridge, MA. Cambridge Divorce Group will be devoted to helping family law clients, in Middlesex County and Suffolk County, who make too much money to qualify for free legal services but don’t make enough money to hire a traditional lawyer for full representation. The Firm will offer exclusively reduced-fee limited assistance representation.
The Firm will open on February 4, 2013 and is located directly across the street from Middlesex Probate and Family Court at 189 Cambridge Street, Suite 3B, Cambridge, MA 02141.
“I noticed that approximately 90% of litigants in Probate Court were there unrepresented. Often pro se litigants are turned away from no-cost legal services and the Lawyer for the Day program because they make just a little above the guidelines for those programs, usually at less than $24,000 per year for a family of 3. Those people are now trying to navigate the court system with no help and no legal knowledge. I opened this law firm to help both the pro se litigants get the help they need and also to help the courts with their backlog of pro se litigants.” – Gabriel Cheong, Esq.
Cambridge Divorce Group offers reduced-fee limited assistance representation to those making income of approximately $50,000 or less. The Firm will consider waivers if the clients show a need for help and inability to pay a traditional attorney or law firm for full representation.
The Firm will help clients in all areas of family law including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and property division. Attorneys will help clients on a pay-as-needed basis to fill out forms, draft agreements and court filings, limited representation in court, and general advice.
