Kick-off of Super Bowl 47 between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens is rapidly approaching. While the final components of the respective game plans are being installed, millions around the globe are placing Super Bowl bets.
As the countdown to kick-off dwindles, Printable Brackets is offering fans a final chance to get sheets and contests for Super Bowl Sunday.
“While the Niners and Ravens are making their final preparations for the big game, we know that fans are also getting everything in place for their parties,” said Printable Brackets spokesman Zaniel Worth. “That’s why we are continuing to make our complimentary contests and sheets available throughout the weekend and up until kick-off.”
Among the options available are Super Bowl squares and a Super Bowl prop bets contest.
“There’s still plenty of time to fill up a Super Bowl squares sheet,” said Worth. “For those interested in more intricate Super Bowl bets, our prop sheet is ideal.”
According to the American Gaming Association, the total number of Super Bowl bets surpasses every other sporting event during the year. The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported that $93.9-million was bet on the Super Bowl in 2012. Nevada sports books earned $5.1-million on Super Bowl betting in the game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots.
Executive director of the Wynn race and sports book John Avello recently told the “Sporting News” that he expects to take in between 15 and 20 six-figure bets on this year’s big game. Earlier in the week, Wynn said he took in a pair of six-figure wagers on the Ravens.
Gamblers aren’t just betting on who will win or cover the spread. Avello said he believes that 20 percent of Super Bowl betting at the Wynn will be on propositions. The Wynn will have as many as 200 Super Bowl prop bets, but fans can find more than 300 at some places.
“It’s incredible the amount of money Super Bowl betting accounts for,” said Worth. “However, with the amount of Super Bowl bets that are available, it’s not really too surprising.”
While the NFL will take center stage on Sunday, men’s college basketball isn’t far from taking over the spotlight.
“The start of the conference basketball tournaments and March Madness are much closer than some may realize,” said Worth. “For those already looking ahead to one of the greatest four-day stretches in all of sports, we’ve got you covered.”
