(PRWEB UK) 2 February 2013

Held at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Surfaces is regarded as one of the most highly regarded trade shows for flooring specialists on the annual calendar. Over 600 of the largest flooring manufacturers and suppliers exhibited at the event between January 28th and 31st 2013 and many of the industry’s most influential speakers took to the theatre to S2 Theater to host live demonstrations and educational presentations.

Construction specialists from across the globe flocked to the Convention Center to check out the latest products and ideas and network with other floor designers, distributors, installers and retailers from the international community. Many see Surfaces as a great opportunity to meet with other like-minded flooring professionals, but an even greater number of attendees were keen to check out the latest innovations to emerge from some of the industry’s leading design houses and manufacturers.

The team at Green Apple were especially eager to follow the products and concepts showcased from the ‘Trends Hub’, a zone which has been referred to by the press as ‘the best place to discover the future of flooring and surfaces’. The Hub was hosted by Scarlet Opus, a UK-based company that provides interior design services and specialises in trend forecast reports for the property improvement sector.

“We found it particularly interesting to learn more about how flooring trends can be forecasted and how they are eventually translated into floor coverings,” explains Green Apple’s Managing Director Stephen MacVicar. “According to Victoria Redshaw, Scarlet Opus’ director, 2013 is going to be a year of big, bold style statements, bright patterns and more complex colour palettes – trends we’re looking forward to incorporating into our product range for our fashion-forward customers!”

The next Surfaces exhibition is expected to take place from 27th – 30th January 2014. Please visit the Surfaces website for more information.
