Military and Veteran Lean Six Sigma Certification Scholarships Now Available

Without question, a credible Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification goes a long way toward realizing job placement, higher income, career advancement and job mobility.

As of Jan 29, 2013, the average base salary for Lean Six Sigma jobs was $98,000, not including bonuses and benefits. On the same date, there were 17,854 postings for Six Sigma jobs.

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training and Certification Scholarships are intended to provide qualified active duty US military personnel, transitioning soldiers and veterans with the opportunity to greatly improve their odds for meaningful employment, high income and job mobility.

The scholarships are provided by the Six Sigma Management Institute in conjunction with Dr. Mikel J. Harry, co-creator of Six Sigma, national bestselling author and working philanthropist.

Dr. Harry, a former US Marine Corps officer, was quoted in an interview as saying: “Trend analysis clearly shows a sharp increase in the demand for Lean Six Sigma Black Belts over the past several years. Without question, a credible Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification goes a long way toward realizing job placement, higher income, career advancement and job mobility.” He continued by saying: “In light of the facts, the aim of this scholarship is to enhance the job opportunities for those that honorably served in the defense of our great nation." In support of this, a major employment agency was recently quoted as saying: “Job opportunities in the Black Belt [Lean Six Sigma] profession are high if one is driven by a passion for quality. Future prospectus of these jobs is very high and if you perform well then the sky is the limit.”
