Mobile device security developer AirPatrol Corporation, today named Dr. Guy Levy-Yurista chief technology officer. Levy-Yurista, a former executive with AOL, McAfee and TrustDigital joined AirPatrol in 2011 as VP of Engineering and Product Management.

After coming to AirPatrol two years ago Levy-Yurista became a crucial force in the creation of the company’s flagship product, ZoneDefense. ZoneDefense is a security system that can actively alter the apps and features available on mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops based on the device’s location the role of its user. ZoneDefense was the brainchild Levy-Yurista’s long experience in the development of advanced enterprise and mobile technologies.

Prior to AirPatrol, Levy-Yurista held a variety of positions at corporations such as McAfee, TrustDigital, and AOL. Other prior roles include leadership teams of several startup companies, and a GP role with an early stage VC. He holds a PhD in Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and an MBA from the Wharton business school at the University of Pennsylvania.
