Union Metrics, the maker of popular Twitter analytics service TweetReach and Union Metrics for Tumblr, the first and only enterprise listening and engagement analytics tool for Tumblr, today announced record growth for 2012, continuing its momentum as a leading provider of social media measurement applications. The company saw revenue grow by almost three times, while active subscribers nearly doubled over 2011 as hundreds of new marketers, brands and agencies signed up to measure campaign engagement on Twitter and Tumblr.

Union Metrics’ products, used everyday by thousands of companies around the world, provide business analytics to marketers and agencies to enable them to better understand and act upon the social media conversations happening around their brands. The popularity of TweetReach and Union Metrics for Tumblr, increasingly being used as standard measurement tools for campaign effectiveness on Twitter and Tumblr, has led to the record growth in revenue and new customers.

In 2012, Union Metrics users ran more than 1.8 million Twitter analytics reports and Pro subscribers tracked more than 700 million tweets about their campaigns, marketing initiatives, and clients’ brand presence. In addition, the company is ingesting more than 100 million events per day from the full Tumblr firehose to power the new Union Metrics for Tumblr product, released at the end of 2012 and now being used by some of the world’s leading brands. Union Metrics products are in place at more than 60% of the top 25 public relations agencies and 25% of the Fortune 500.

Additional 2012 highlights:

  • Released significant new functionality for TweetReach, including: a new TweetReach snapshot report, featuring an easier-to-use design; TweetReach Pro Dashboard and Projects, making it easier for larger customers and agencies to track and share their Twitter analytics; the TweetReach API, providing read-only programmatic access to TweetReach Tracker metrics; and TweetReach Historical Analytics, providing analytics for any tweets ever posted, all the way back to March 2006.
  • Released Union Metrics for Tumblr - Tumblr’s preferred analytics partner, and the only full-fidelity listening and engagement analytics for the platform.
  • Tracked Twitter and Tumblr activity for major media events including the United States and Mexican presidential primaries and elections, 69th annual Golden Globes, 2012 Winter X Games, 54th annual Grammy Awards, 84th annual Academy Awards, 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, 2012 London Olympics, the Mayan “un-apocalypse”, and many more.
