CareSource, a non-profit Medicaid managed care plan, applauds Governor Kasich’s decision to support the extension of the Medicaid program in Ohio. Pamela Morris, President and CEO at CareSource, released the following statement:
"CareSource applauds Governor Kasich’s decision to extend Medicaid in Ohio. This is the right choice for the people and businesses in Ohio. We all benefit from low-income Ohioans getting the health care coverage they need. This provides low-income Ohioans access to primary and preventative care avoiding high cost catastrophic services. It is commonsense because it will bring billions of dollars into Ohio to invest in our health care system, providers and economy. We encourage Ohio lawmakers to follow the Governor’s lead and make sure that Ohio doesn’t miss out on the opportunity to transform health care in our State. It makes strong business sense and simply put, it is the right thing to do."
