The Inaugural Date for the Cure Gala, benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Los Angeles County, is the perfect Valentine’s weekend date. Participating does not only give to a great cause, much needed funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Research and Treatment will be raised.

This elegant night of dinner and entertainment, hosted by actor & comedian Kevin Nealon literally has something for everyone, including dinner/cocktails, and great entertainment. The lineup consists of: Musical Performances by Josh Krajcik (X Factor) and Paul McDonald (American Idol), a special dance number by Peta Murgatroyd (Dancing with the Stars), and a fashion show by A.Ché Swimwear featuring Miss California USA Mabelynn Capeluj, Miss California Teen USA Cassidy Wolf & Miss District of Columbia Allyn Rose working the runway. There will also be special appearances by reigning Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, reigning Miss USA Nana Meriwether, Cheryl Burke of Dancing with the Stars and many other surprises. Date for the Cure is a California based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating events that help raise funds for important breast cancer programs. The Inaugural Date for the Cure Gala, benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Los Angeles County, has partnered up exclusively with Gilt City LA. Gilt City LA will be the sole place to purchase tickets to the Date for the Cure Fundraiser Gala on February 16 at the Sheraton Universal.

The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures. To date, The Affiliate has raised over $9.2 million for community-based grants to local LA County health organizations. Through these grants, Komen LA County provides crucial funding for breast cancer diagnostic services, educational programs, patient navigation, and psychosocial support.

Komen LA County is a local charity serving the communities of Los Angeles County. Seventy-five percent of the Affiliate’s net income funds grants to local hospitals and community health organizations serving the uninsured and underinsured women in Los Angeles County.
