Helping women live a healthy and balanced life is core to femMED.

femMED is proud to announce the issuance of the natural product number (NPN 80039359) from Health Canada for femMED Breast Health.

femMED Breast Health has undergone a Health Canada approved clinical trial involving pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women. Results of the study were peer-reviewed and published in the Journal Breast Cancer: Basic and Clinical Research, as well as the Natural Medicine Journal. The study demonstrated how a specific combination of nutritional ingredients found in femMED Breast Health may help maintain healthy breast tissue. Researchers say they have uncovered a possible way for women to favourably influence whether estrogen in their body takes a “beneficial” or a “disease-potential” path.

Maggie Laidlaw PhD, the lead investigator, said, "The results of this clinical trial in a relevant population of women show promise that there may be a proactive way to support healthy metabolism of estrogens through nutritional supplementation and, by extension, support breast health."

The femMED Breast Health supplement has been specially formulated to help promote healthy estrogen metabolism and support a healthy estrogen metabolite ratio. True to femMED’s dedication to creating premium natural health products, femMED Breast Health is free of dairy, egg, gluten, yeast, artificial colours and flavours, delivered in a vegetable capsule and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

All Natural Health Products (NHPs) sold in Canada are subject to the Natural Health Products Regulations which came into force on January 1, 2004 and state that all NHPs must have a product license to be sold in Canada. To obtain a license, applicants must provide detailed information about the proposed finished product to Health Canada, including medicinal ingredients, source, dose, potency, non-medicinal ingredients and recommended uses. To be granted an NPN, a product must pass the rigour of Health Canada inspection for safety, quality and efficacy.

“We work hard to provide women with best-in-class supplements for their most common health concerns,” said Shawna Page, Founder and CEO of femMED. “Helping women live a healthy and balanced life is core to femMED. Being issued an NPN from Health Canada is assurance that our rigorous testing and commitment to women’s health results in effective natural health products.”
