Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) February 06, 2013
Dallas-based TopMD Skin Care, makers of CLn® BodyWash, an innovative, non-irritating gel cleanser designed to effectively cleanse skin prone to eczema, acne and folliculitis, and CLn® SportWash, a cleanser for athletes with skin prone to infection, acne and folliculitis, today announced the addition of high-profile dermatologist Wendy E. Roberts, M.D., to its medical advisory board.
Dr. Roberts of Rancho Mirage, Calif., is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist specializing in Generational DermatologyTM, cosmetic dermatology and ethnic skin care. A graduate of Stanford Medical School, she is the founding director of dermatopathology at Loma Linda University Medical Center’s division of dermatology. She has tackled and triumphed over a comprehensive range of skin problems, diseases and conditions using innovative methods that have earned her national and international recognition. In 2008, she developed and published the Roberts’ Skin Type Classification® system, which is groundbreaking in its approach to identifying and communicating medical details regarding all skin color types. Roberts is a past president of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and a member and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In addition, Dr. Roberts’ expertise is sought frequently for national news stories in magazines, newspapers and for radio and TV interviews.
“I am pleased to be joining TopMD Skin Care’s advisory board,” Roberts said. “The CLn product line fills a great need for a safe and effective generational skin cleansing product that can be used by the entire family from infancy to end of life for dermatologic conditions such as acne, folliculitis, eczema and prevention of periprocedural infections. I am impressed with the science and effectiveness of the CLn products and cannot wait to share my patient experiences.”
Dr. Roberts joins 13 other leading dermatologists and dermatopathologists serving on the TopMD Skin Care medical advisory board.
“TopMD Skin Care is honored to have Dr. Roberts join our medical advisory board, and we welcome her expertise in treating ethnic and aging skin types,” said Dr. Azam Anwar, founder of TopMD Skin Care. “We expect Dr. Roberts’ research and insights will inspire further development of the CLn line of products. Her professional goals are in direct alignment with our goal to change the lives of adults and children with microbe-associated skin disorders, and we’re proud to have her on our team of expert advisers.”

About TopMD Skin Care
Founded by Texas physicians, Azam Anwar, M.D., and highly regarded dermatopathologist Clay Cockerell, M.D., TopMD Skin Care released its premier product, CLn® BodyWash, in the first quarter of 2012. As an over-the-counter, non-prescription product, CLn BodyWash is an innovative, non-irritating gel cleanser designed to effectively cleanse skin prone to eczema, acne and folliculitis. Developed by dermatologists, the cleanser has been clinically tested to be safe and effective in children (6 months and older). CLn BodyWash can be used in the shower or bath – head to toe – and emulates the effectiveness of a “bleach bath” with greater convenience and portability. A complimentary product, CLn® SportWash, was launched in the last quarter of 2012. CLn SportWash is an effective cleanser that can be used after exercise, contact sports or other activities where the skin is prone to infection, acne and folliculitis.
