Certified journeyman electricians can now get 32 hours of electrical continuing education with JADE Learning at a new low rate of just $200.The California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) accepts certificates from JADE Learning as proof of having completed the continuing education requirement for licensed electrical journeymen. Electricians can take courses on their own schedule anytime day or night and print certificates at home for their renewal application. “I liked being able to do it when I had the time,” says R. Shriver of Chino, California. Payment is only required after courses are completed. In addition, JADE Learning provides a free rush renewal service for anyone who calls with a last minute request during business hours. The law requires all electricians who work for C-10 Contractors and who make connections of greater than 100 volt amps to be certified by the state. Certification expires three years from its effective date. In order to renew, a certified electrician must work 2,000 hours in the industry and take 32 hours of electrical continuing education.

The 32 Hour Renewal Package for Electricians combines four popular courses on the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC), the code currently enforced in the State of California. The package includes: 2008 National Electrical Code Changes Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and House Wiring. Each section of a course presents expert National Electrical Code analysis with full color graphics and questions on each page. Topics include the most important changes in the 2008 NEC, Article 90-Annex I, and the requirements in the 2008 NEC for installing electrical systems in dwelling units. All electrical continuing education courses are developed with NEC consultants and former electrical inspectors, each with over 30 years of experience. The dynamic JADE Learning online learning system allows an electrician to ask questions of instructors during a course. Courses are then updated to ensure that the information presented and the questions asked are up-to-date based on latest interpretations of the code. This 32 hour package is also available as a correspondence homestudy.

Since 1991, JADE Learning has been a national provider of electrical code and electrical safety continuing education.
