Limeade today announced that it received a two-year Health Information Products (HIP) Certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the most trusted source for information about health care quality.

"Limeade is to be commended for being one of the first organizations in the nation to be reviewed for these services,” said Kathleen C. Mudd, NCQA vice president for product delivery.

Limeade today announced that it received a two-year Health Information Products (HIP) Certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the most trusted source for information about health care quality. As a result, health plans that under NCQA Accreditation surveys will receive automatic credit for using Limeade, since responsibility for adherence to NCQA HRA standards under HIP has been delegated to Limeade.

NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality through Accreditation and Certification of a wide range of health care organizations. NCQA Certification is widely recognized and certified organizations must pass a rigorous, comprehensive review and report on their performance every two years.

Certification has become increasingly important in the selection of health information products, including health and well-being platforms such as Limeade.

NCQA Certification is strong indication to an employer and health plan that its wellness vendor-partner has passed the highest objective standards by the leading third-party health care quality measurement organization. This is critical for organizations wanting to ensure that employees’ personal information is used effectively to improve their health and well-being while supporting corporate objectives such as managing costs and improving productivity.

"Certification from the NCQA is great validation," said Henry Albrecht, CEO, Limeade. "The confirmation that our products meet a trusted standard will help our health plan clients meet their own accreditation goals.”

“Earning NCQA’s HIP Certification demonstrates that an organization has expertise in gathering and disseminating health care information for health plan participants,” said Kathleen C. Mudd, NCQA vice president for product delivery. Limeade is to be commended for being one of the first organizations in the nation to be reviewed for these services.”
