Following an ABC News article on the “world’s oldest marathoner” Fauja Singh, Yumi Media commends Singh’s accomplishments as a runner and as a vegetarian who commits to leading a healthy lifestyle.

On February 6,Yumi Media responds to an article published in ABC News about the “world’s oldest marathoner” Fauja Singh, a dedicated vegetarian who chooses to consume healthier meal options, like the products provided by Quorn, a vegetarian food company that provides meal substitutes for vegetarians and vegans.

According to the ABC News article “World’s Oldest Marathoner to Retire” by Gillian Mohney, “Singh set race records for his age group when he was in his nineties and in 2004 carried the torch for the Athens Olympics.” Last year, he was named the “oldest marathon runner” in the Guiness Book of World Records when he participated in the Toronto Marathon, Mohney wrote.

Committed to leading a healthy lifestyle, Singh doesn’t smoke or drink alcohol and consumes a vegetarian diet. “While Singh won’t be competing anymore, he doesn’t plan on completely giving up on the sport,” Mohney wrote. “Singh is planning on a lighter daily routine, just eight to nine miles of running a day.”

Yumi Media applauds Singh and his accomplishments in running and says, “Eating right and exercising has many benefits, but Singh is an example of these benefits and its long-term impact.” Yumi Media adds, “For people eager to improve their eating habits or vegetarians and vegans looking for meal options, companies like Quorn provide healthy meal substitutes that are tasty and nutritious.”
