Owner Carolyn Akel states she hopes “to encourage her customers to invest not only in a beautiful piece of jewelry, but a worthwhile cause brought about by two special young women.”

Website CoCo’s Closet (http://www.cocoscloset.com) will be featuring products by jewelry brand Bijoux Benie on its site for the Valentines Day shopping season.
Bijoux Benie, or Blessed Jewels, was started by two driven teenage sisters named Rebecca and Malaika Koshy of San Jose, California. Even at 17 and 13, these girls felt they could create a company to help and empower women all over the world.
They began designing jewelry with the help of their mother and sharing the profits with charities dedicated to empowering women with education in nations where the jewelry is made. Today, Bijoux Benie is still designed by its young founders, and all production and creation of the jewelry is done by women being paid a fair wage.
Carolyn Akel of CoCo’s Closet shares in Bijoux Benie’s vision to support women’s education and empowerment around the world. Carolyn’s goal is to bring her customers remarkable and special products that she has found in her travels around the U.S. and abroad. She feels that Bijoux Benie has the perfect blend of purpose and style.
To promote both Bijoux Benie’s message, along with their product, Carolyn is prominently featuring their line on her site during Valentines Day, one of the busiest jewelry buying seasons of the year. Carolyn states she hopes “to encourage her customers to invest not only in a beautiful piece of jewelry, but a worthwhile cause brought about by two special young women.”
