Florida Ski Council is looking forward to working with Sports America
(PRWEB) February 07, 2013
Since 1984 Florida Ski Council has always handled its domestic ski vacation trips directly with resorts. Now they are partnering with travel companies to offer better pricing, more value, and enhanced services to their members. Sports America was chosen as the first travel company to provide service for a domestic North American council trip in over 30 years.
The Florida Ski Council returned back to Florida from a fun filled ski vacation in the Lake Tahoe region. The group stayed at various lodging properties near Heavenly Ski Resort and skied at multiple resorts in the area including Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood. An Austin Powers themed dinner party was held where participants got very creative with their costumes. Following the theme of Gold member, in 70's attire, and even some men in shark costumes with lasers attached to their heads.
The council invited Sports America to attend several events including a day to ski with the trip leaders, its presidents' reception, along with the farewell dinner party to discuss with council members about the upcoming trip to Park City in February 2014 that Sports America will be hosting.
Sports America has a long standing strong relationship with several of the ski clubs in the Florida Ski Council starting back in 1989. A few of those clubs are the Gators, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Naples, and Space Coast ski clubs.
The council is full of excitement about the upcoming trip to Park City hosted by Sports America. Historically for their travel dates, February 22 and March 1, there are 366 flight options to fly from Florida to Salt Lake City and several of those flights are direct. Once the council arrives into The Salt Lake City Airport they are only a short 35 mile bus ride to Park City. The possibility of combinations of flight times and a short transfer from the airport all make for a very easy travel day.
The Florida Ski Council will be able to enjoy skiing for five days between three word class resorts. Park City Mountain Resort has 3,300 acres of terrain and more than 50% of their runs are intermediate. Deer Valley is known for its unbeatable customer service and concierge services around the resort; it is also one of the last "ski only" mountains. One cannot forget Canyons Resort, which has 182 ski trails and 19 chair lifts, including the famous heated orange bubble chair lift, which was the first heated chair lift in North America.
After skiing if the participants are not completely exhausted they will be able to explore over 150 bars and restaurants in the area and a variety of extracurricular activities such as dog sledding, Park City Mountain Resorts alpine coaster, the Olympic Museum, spa treatments, and more.
The president of the council, Clair Quenzler, had this to say about the upcoming trip, "The Florida Ski Council is looking forward to working with Sports America in planning a successful trip to Park City, Utah in 2014." Sports America is happy to be chosen as host and is looking forward to this new business relationship.
