Impact Teen Drivers announces the Spring 2013 launch of the Create Real Impact Contest. The Create Real Impact contest was created to encourage teens to start talking about what distracts them while driving.

The contest requires an original and creative work that proposes a solution to reckless and distracted driving, which is the number one killer of teens in America. Eligible entrants will upload and promote their work at http://www.createrealimpact.com to share their solutions, obtain votes, and possibly win the grand prize for their category.

The Create Real Impact Contest began in 2009 as an incentive to teenagers to understand and teach their peers about the potential risks of distracted driving. The contest is open to all high school and college students in America between the ages of 15-22. Since its inception, this contest has been shared with over two million high school, trade school, college, and university students. Create Real Impact is sponsored by Impact Teen Drivers and their founding sponsor, California Casualty.

In 2011, the collaboration and cooperation of California and national teen safe driving coalitions allowed the contest to grow into its current format, reaching new drivers nationwide. This has resulted in the participation of thousands of young drivers representing EVERY state, hundreds of thousands of votes cast from young people, parents, and educators, and winners across the country, from Florida to California.

Original works include art for posters or t-shirts, performed or written music, videos for use as PSAs, and creative writing. All entries are to be submitted to http://www.createrealimpact.com from February 1st to April 20th, 2013. Online voting for the competition will be open to the public as promoted and distributed by the contestants starting April 21, 2013, and ending April 28, 2013. The winners will be announced May 1st, 2013. Each category will have prizes awarded based upon online voting, as well as one grand prize winner per category chosen by a panel of expert judges provided by Impact Teen Drivers.

Impact Teen Drivers is an organization dedicated to educating teens about the dangers of reckless and distracted driving, providing schools all across the country with hard-hitting educational materials that effectively educate teens on these dangers, and how they can prevent their death and the deaths of those they love.
