Specialist jewellery making website Cookson Gold has added a raft of new products to its catalogue following a successful, stock-clearing January sale.

Amongst the new items are tools and materials from brands like Dremel, Art Clay and Pebeo. They will bolster the retailer’s stock of more than 14,500 jewellery making products, such as gold chain, findings, books and jewellery display solutions.

Art Clay

Cookson Gold’s Art Clay range has been improved with the introduction of the latest Art Clay formula. The new version of this popular, mouldable precious metal clay is softer and more workable than older formulas like Slow Dry Art Clay and regular Art Clay.

Crystal Clay

Crystal Clay, which is specially designed for setting crystals, was introduced to Cookson Gold’s catalogue last October. The range is now complete, with 17 rhodium-plated blank settings available, so crafters can easily create their own earrings, rings and pendants.

Enamelling products

Two new enamelling ranges have been introduced, Pebeo and Gedeo. These enamelling products are available in a range of colours, and can be purchased individually or in handy kits – which are perfect for jewellery makers new to enamelling.

Pebeo and Gedeo accessories like resins, moulds and jewellery blanks are also available.

Dremel Speedclic is making its first appearance in the retailer’s range of Dremel tools. This unique cutting tool cuts, buffs and polishes materials using interchangeable heads, which can be removed and replaced with just a few simple steps.

The Speedclic starter kit is great for beginners, and features the Speedclic mandrel and two fibreglass-reinforced metal cutting wheels. Cookson Gold also offers a selection of Speedclic wheels, mandrels, buffs and brushes.

Also new to the retailer’s Dremel range is the Dremel 3000 Rotary Drill Kit, which comes with 15 handy accessories. This tool is easy to use, and is ideal for precision jewellery making tasks like engraving, cutting and sanding.

Other new tools include the MK3 Solder Paste Dispenser and the Sonic 3MX Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner.

The MK3 Solder Paste Dispenser is designed for crafters who don’t own compressed air solder paste dispensers. It works with all of Cookson Gold’s needles with an internal diameter of 0.25mm to 1.2mm.

The Sonic 3MX Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner effectively cleans delicate jewellery items like gold chain and rings. It boasts high power performance, a built-in heater, a smart LED display, timer control and rotary dial operation.

Goldstone beads

Beading fans will appreciate the new Goldstone beads, part of Cookson Gold’s semi-precious beads range. These beads are very versatile, and can be combined with metal beads or crystal beads to create eye-catching designs.

Adam Hunter, Cookson Gold’s e-commerce manager, said: “We’re really excited about the new products we’ve brought on board.

“Our customers value the fact that we’re the first to bring them the latest innovations from big jewellery making brands, and we haven’t let them down with the first big additions of 2013.

“After the success of our January sale, we’re confident that last month’s bargain hunters will come back to buy some of the unique and useful new tools and materials we’ve got to offer.

“And with brands like Art Clay and Dremel amongst the new stuff, you can be sure that it all meets our high quality standards.”

It’s not just specialist jewellery making tools and materials that are debuting on the Cookson Gold website. Shamballa necklets and silver lockets are trendy new additions to the retailer’s finished jewellery collection.

There are also great products such as the favourite Friendship Bracelet Maker, which lets children and adults alike create colourful bracelets to give to friends and loved ones.

Cookson Gold offers next-day delivery on products ordered before 3pm.
