Mark’s significant contributions to BIA have made the development process less complicated and less costly for land developers both locally and throughout the state.

Mark Stanley, managing partner at Lancaster, Pa. full service law firm Hartman Underhill & Brubaker LLC (HUB), recently was honored by the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Stanley received the organization’s 2012 Presidential Award (selected by the chapter’s 2012 president Scott Provanzo) and the 2012 Associate of the Year Award (selected by a committee of previous associate- and builder-of-the-year winners).

The awards are given each year to associate members of the organization vital to the residential construction industry (attorneys, lenders, sub-contractors, designers, etc.) – individuals who “have truly stood out during the year by way of contributions to the BIA of Lancaster County,” said acting BIA executive director Karen Watkins.

Normally the awards go to separate individuals, but Stanley received both awards because of his exceptional commitment to the association during 2012 and his related work in state government affairs, including serving as a co-chair of a statewide PennDOT task force. The task force was instrumental in facilitating significant changes to the PennDOT Access Release and Indemnification procedures and documentation. (In 2013, the task force will focus its concentration on "fair share" discussions with PennDOT.)

"Mark’s significant contributions to BIA have made the development process less complicated and less costly for land developers both locally and throughout the state,” said Scott Provanzo, president BIA of Lancaster County for 2012 and Vice President of Heartland Builders, Inc.
