It’s very humbling to be among this stellar group of young leaders from various business sectors throughout the city in which I’m proud to work and live.

KC Business magazine has selected John Kreicbergs, Meers Director, Digital Strategy as one of its Rising Stars – a recognition of being among the most promising Kansas Citians. The fourth annual program honors outstanding leaders younger than 40 in the creative, entrepreneurial, nonprofit and corporate communities. So far, the magazine has recognized more than 150 Kansas Citians as Rising Stars.

Kreicbergs and 28 other recipients are profiled in the February issue of KC Business. In addition, they were publicly honored at a networking and cocktail reception held Wednesday, February 6th at the Grand Street Café.

"The Rising Stars Awards program recognizes the up-and-comers who will be shaping Kansas City in years to come. Each year our honorees bring a unique perspective to the group, yet every class of Rising Stars is made up of similar components: talent, drive and a passion for Kansas City," said Dara Macan, president and group publisher at Anthem Publishing.

An independent panel of area business and civic leaders selected the exclusive group based on dedication, personal growth, hard work and community involvement. This year's judges were: Ryan Weber, President of KCnext - The Technology Council of Greater Kansas City; Rachel Hack, Community Manager at Google; and Paul Gutierrez, Administrative Coordinator at the Mattie Rhodes Center.

“I’m honored and deeply touched by not only the nomination, but by ultimately being selected by the Judges for the recognition as a Rising Star,” said Kreicbergs. “It’s very humbling to be among this stellar group of young leaders from various business sectors throughout the city in which I’m proud to work and live.”
